This is an amazing wine from an amazing vintage. The color is dark red to purple with slow moving tears that move down the glass after you swirl it. The aromas and bouquets are of stone cherries and raspberries with hints of vanilla. Because ofthe richness in the mouth, the wine is soft and smooth. (Extra time in barrels makes that happen). The flavor that comes out in the taste are again stone cherries and raspberries and now fans out with cloves, cinnamon and caramel and many more facets of flavors. This wine is quite reminiscent to some of the Best Super Tuscans and Brunello di Montacino's of Italy. The wine can really be enjoyed now and I would suggest decanting your bottles so your first glass tastes like your last glass. It will improve with the proper cellaring for another 4 to 6 years. Enjoy this creation of Old Vine Russian River Valley Zinfandel from the Dolinsek Ranch with a touch of Cabernet and Petite Sirah for added flavors.
