2008 Mara Pinot Noir (Library Selection)
The harvest for 2008 in the Russian River Valley for Pinot Noir was 'Like a box of Chocolates',
you never know what you're going to get. Fortunately the quality was wonderful but the harvest was down. The
harvest only created 8 lovingly barrels, about 215 cases. The wine has a sensual and captivating aroma of dried raspberries,
a hint of vanilla, toffee and spice with a touch of mineral from the soil of the Russian River Valley. The mouth feel is
silky with a soft and elegant finish of cola, brown sugar and toast that stays with you. This wine drinks well now but will
be enhanced by 3 to 4 years of cellaring. This vineyard is farmed by one of the Best Growers of Pinot Noir in the Russian River
Valley, Lee Martinelli Jr.
Enjoy one of the BEST!
